from STEM to SAHM

Well, I did it. I let my boss know I was quitting work at the end of the year. For a little background you can check out my earlier blog post contemplating it. While I technically haven't put in my notice, he asked me about my career goals in a recent meeting and... well I had nothing. I admitted my goal was to make it to the end of the year for health insurance reasons (yay America!) and then stay home with my daughter. I can potentially recover and keep my job if I really wanted to, so I won't say it's fully official, but it'd be difficult and I also don't see that desire randomly popping up.

While I didn't expect to have this talk with my boss quite so soon, I had already been planning my eventual escape, which has included investing in my OF a bit. Buying some toys, cameras, etc that will help with content creation. I reached out to a bigger account about a possible collab as well to market myself. But she is in New York and travel with a baby would be tricky so I don't think that's happening.

I've moved away from chatting with my subscribers almost completely, so if that's what you're looking for from me, be prepared to have tips attached to your messages. I just don't have the time or emotional capacity to be chatting with 50+ horny men all day. I'm trying to streamline my business into nearly "passive" income. I fuck (because I like to fuck anyway), take a little time to edit, and then post. Done. That's it.

This is particularly important because every time I get a wave of new subs from a hot reddit post most fall off at the end of the month, but a few stick. Those few that stick are the ones I need around anyway. Being a SW means I am not treated like a person. As soon as I'm sick for a few days, or sad, or have a period, or spend time traveling to see my family, most subscribers are done with me. I get no grace. Most of you get 2 days off a week and your evenings to yourself but I have to be at your beck and call 24/7? That's not realistic. There are men that would subscribe for $10 (remember that I only see $8 of that), chat with me all day a majority of days, and somehow thought they only needed to tip if we had an actual video chat session. Great, you paid for a video chat, I've now earned like $40 from you, but you took up 40 hours of my time this month? Fuck off.

I'll start uploading longer videos to OF soon, only problem with that is OF sucks. A two minute video takes 4 minutes to upload. I straight up cannot send multiple videos in a chat at once, I have to send them separately. It's such a pain. Also, why the fuck doesn't OF have an app?? It's so annoying!!

I think (hopefully this doesn't jinx it) I'll be getting back with my ex soon. I haven't been feeling super sexy lately, but that man always makes me want to fuck. It's impressive actually. So if he's back in my life maybe the motivation for content creation will pick up. And he's already agreed to guest star as much as I want! Gotta make it through November and then I'll be using up a lot of my PTO, hopefully utilizing that time to make a lot of good content for you all!
